Seven detached, eight semi-detached, and one attached home changed hands in Davisville Village last month, a 27.3% drop compared to 22 home sales in the same month last year. The average value of those sixteen homes decreased by 13.2% from last year’s $1,595,250 to $1,384,550. Detached homes were valued at an average price of $1,605,686, a 6.7% drop from last year’s $1,720,200. Value for semis also dropped 9.5% from last year’s $1,327,500 to $1,201,000.
For the first six months, fifty-eight homes were sold in 2018, a 45.8% drop compared to the year-to-date June 2017 sales which was at 107. Thirty-one detached homes changed hands so far with an average value of $1,744,415 or a 3.4% decrease compared to $1,805,271 for fifty-eight detached homes sold within the first six months of 2017. Semi-detached home sales also decreased 43.9% from forty-one to twenty-three while value dropped 14.7% from $1,447,031 last year to $1,234,284.
