Leaside homes increase in dollar value,
spurred by a decline in home sales

Seventeen homes changed hands in Leaside & Bennington Heights in October, which was a 6.3% increase in home sales over last year. There were 14 detached home sales, representing a 6.7% decrease from the past year’s sales. The average dollar values of those October detached home values increased at $1,949,519 or by 9.6% over October 2016.

The average values of 2017’s year-to-date 108 detached homes were up to $2,048,417 or 19.9% higher compared to the 135 detached homes that sold in the first ten months of 2016. The semi-detached sales were flat at 31 homes YTD 2017, but saw a 4.7% increase in average dollar value to $1,222,881.
